motopastaIt's best to contact your authorized dealer and ask for the map number. Unfortunately, I can't read anything from the map descriptions.

I have been to the dealer here , asking about cam installs and maps and got a simple reply , never done it ! I'm a bit surprised that the T120 appears to have such a limited performance base , outside of pipes . Peter

If the dealer doesn't even know that, that's sad. I would ask him to request the necessary information from the factory.

Peter triumph will not supply modified maps for aftermarket engine mods, in fact they don't provide anything except the standard map any more since Euro V , even a basic slip on map. Best bet will be a custom tune on a dyno, either using Tuneecu or a power commander.

Well as mentioned earlier the dyno tune isn't happening , another thought may be to get a fuel air ratio monitor and see if I can get a reasonable running mixture , perfection isn't the goal here . Peter

I am on the app looking for some OEM maps like 20731 for a T100 but it's not there and neither is the VIN split for this bike 601xxx. On the app it lists downloadables to 20660 and then the T100 starts at VIN in the 7s. Am I looking in the wrong place? By the way, I've been using TuneECU since somewhere around 2003! It's great to still have around and growing. Thanks to all who keep it current.

Something strange going on with the Bonneville air cooled 865cc maps, none of the maps listed on the website database appear to be in the App, even though it says "only available via the App". Most , if not all, of the maps available in the App for the air cooled Bonneville appear to be obsolete maps, 20660 is in the App but according to the database it has been replaced by 20743 which is not in the App.
Hopefully the moderator will find out whats going on

Hello Scotty, the developer has to sort this out.
Some time ago Alain asked me to remove all OEM card downloads from my site.
But since I still have a copy of the database from my server, I'm happy to make it available.
But I can only do that if Alain agrees to it.

Copyright laws differ from country to country and is always a complex issue. I work in a profession where I have to be mindful of using/sharing others work, even where that work is published on the internet for all to see. My (very) simplistic view is that if someone else has put in time/money to develop, write or design something, whether that is electronic or a physical item, they effectively own the copyright & have a say in what happens to it. So unless the author has specifically said it's free to distribute, copy or use a s a basis for change, I would need permission from the author to do so to avoid any potential copyright issues. Even if someone creates a product specifically for you, in this case a map for your ECU, then that product is for your use only unless the person who created it has given you permission to share it. As for the argument, 'you paid for it therefore you own it', that doesn't hold water. I own and have paid for many electronic books and I can read them, even move them from my Kobo to my PC, or a storage device, but I don't own the content, I can't copy it for sale or distribution, I can't quote it in a piece of my own work or plagiarise it & pass it off as my own work. In the world of copyright, there's no distinction made between an item created and distributed electronically, in physical form or even an idea, as long as it can be proved that the original thinker/author came up with it. As someone who develops & publishes mobile apps for a living, I beg to differ. If someone comes to me & asks me to develop an app for them & pays me to do it, then as far as I'm concerned they own the rights to it (unless we have a written agreement that says otherwise). On the other hand, if I develop an app & publish it myself at the cost of my own time & resources, then I own the rights. Your e-book analogy is irrelevant because when you buy an e-book, you're not paying the author to write it for you - you're paying for the right to read a copy of the original work. On the other hand, if you asked someone to write your biography & paid them to do it, then you would most likely own the rights to it (depending on the agreement you made with the writer). When you go to a tuner & pay them to tune your bike, you're paying them to do the job & give you a finished product. If you then choose to give (or sell) that product to someone else, that's up to you - just like you have every right to sell your bike to someone without worrying that the manufacturer will sue you. Unless you have a written agreement with the tuner that specifically states they own the rights to your customised tune (& who would agree to that unless you were getting it for free), they have no legal standing to say "hey, you aren't allowed to share it".

This: " Copyright laws differ from country to country and is always a complex issue." Is the only relevant part of your conversation, of which the conversation itself is irrelevant to this thread, if you want to argue about ownership and copyright against each other, then General is a more suitable place.
